Shopping and Checkout Questions

How do I shop on this site? For your shopping convenience, we use what is called a "shopping cart" to help you order online. This shopping cart works just the same as a real shopping cart - it collects items you want to purchase until checkout time! Simply browse the store and when you want to purchase an item, just click "add to cart." After adding an item, you’ll be shown a "Your Cart" screen that displays your items as well as a subtotal. When you are finished shopping, click the "Checkout" button and follow the easy steps from there.

Navigation: We have tried to make our site as simple and easy-to-use as possible. You can use the menu of product categories on the left of each page, or use the “Search” box just above the menu.

Getting Started: If you like to shop by browsing through products, start by clicking on one of the categories found on the menu (left side of the page). This will take you to a Category page with a listing of product Sub-Categories.

Searching: If you know the name of a product you are interested in, simply type it into the “Search” box. Click on the Advanced Search link (below the “Search” box) to refine your product search or to search by:

  • product item number
  • product category
  • product price

Express Ordering: If you already know the item numbers for what you want (if, for example, you have a print catalog in hand), try the Express Ordering. We'll add the items to your order, and then you can proceed to checkout... it’s that simple!

How do I change quantities? When you click "Add to Cart", one of the selected items is added to your shopping cart. If you want more than one, simply adjust the quantity on the "Your Shopping Cart" screen and click the "update" button. If you ever want to remove an item from your cart, just enter "0" in the quantity field, then click the "update" button. Once an order is submitted, it goes immediately into our system for processing. If you need to make changes after submitting an order, call our Customer Service Department at 1-800-795-4410 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week). Please have your Order Number ready for the Catholic Direct customer service representative.

Can I charge this order to my church or institution account? Orders billed to churches are payable upon receipt. Orders by individuals must be prepaid by check, money order or credit card. First time orders must be secured with a credit card.

What credit cards do you accept? We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Your credit card will not be charged until your items are shipped.

Are there any special savings available when I purchase online? Currently the Catholic Direct online store offers the same savings offered in our printed catalog. You may subscribe to our email list with your e-mail address to receive information about these promotions.

What kind of sales tax do I have to pay when I shop online at CatholicDirect.com? If your CatholicDirect.com order is shipped to New Jersey, you will have to pay the appropriate sales tax for that state.

Can I ship a single order to multiple addresses? Unfortunately, at this time our site does not support multiple ship-to addresses. Please feel free to place your order by telephone 1-800-795-4410 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) and our customer service representative will be happy to help you with the multiple ship-to addresses.

Do you ship outside the USA? We ship to just about anywhere in the world. For orders outside the USA, please contact our customer service department at 1-800-795-4410 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week). We accept only credit cards drawn on U.S. funds for foreign shipments.

Can I e-mail my order? We're sorry, but we do not accept orders via e-mail. Sending personal information, especially your credit card, through e-mail is not safe or secure and should not be used. If you need to place an order and can't access the online store at CatholicDirect.com, please call the toll-free number: 1-800-795-4410 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week).

How do I cancel an order? Once an order is submitted through the Catholic Direct online store, it goes immediately into into our order system for processing. If your order has not shipped you can call our Customer Service Department at 1-800-795-4410 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week), and we will do our best to cancel the order before it ships. Please have your Order Number ready for the Catholic Direct customer service representative.

Why are some prices on the website different than in the catalog? Changes to raw material prices, fuel costs and other factors can significantly impact our production costs at any time. As a result, we sometimes change our selling price part way through a sales season. Catholic Direct reserves the right to change selling prices, which will cause our online prices to be different than the prices printed in the current print catalog. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Security and Privacy Questions

I'm worried about credit card fraud, is this site secure? For your comfort and safety, CatholicDirect.com uses secure server technology (Secure Sockets Layer or SSL) to virtually eliminate the risk of an unwanted intermediary obtaining your credit card information during transmission. SSL is the standard in secure Web transactions and is the best technology available today. All versions of 4.0 (and higher) browsers including Netscape, Microsoft Internet Explorer and AOL support the technology, but other browsers may also support it. We suggest upgrading to the newest version of your browser for maximum security.

What if I don't want to pay by credit card? No problem! Though we believe in the safety and security of sending credit information over the Web, we also provide alternative methods of ordering.

Delivery Questions

How long before I receive my order? In most cases, orders received by 12:00 noon (Eastern) will ship the same day at no extra charge, with the exception of some church supplies and apparel. All other orders will ship within 24 hours of receipt. You will receive your order by UPS ground service approximately 5 to 10 working days from the date you place it.

What is the charge for Express or Overnight air delivery? Please contact our Customer Service 1-800-795-4410 to arrange for Express or Overnight air delivery. They will be able to provide you with a quote for shipping charges.

Can I ship to APO/FPO addresses through the Catholic Direct website? No, unfortunately Catholic Direct does not ship to APO/FPO addresses.
